Despite its more minimal construction, the Japan Chair reflects Finn Juhl’s commitment to emphasizing the distinction between carried and carrying elements. By separating the backrest from the supporting frame with discreet brackets as spacers, the design clearly expresses this relationship.

Inspired by Japanese aesthetics, the chair embodies a refined sense of simplicity, lightness, and sophistication. The Japan Chair is available in oak or walnut and can be upholstered in textile or leather.
