Carl Hansen & Søn – CH011 Coffee Table
The CH011 coffee table was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1954. Four tapered legs tilt slightly outward on either side of the table, lending the solid top an elegant lightness — an effect further emphasised by the way the legs taper gently toward the floor.
The tabletop’s clean, understated surface lets the wood speak for itself: natural grain running lengthwise gives the piece a quiet versatility that suits a wide range of interiors and uses. While the CH011 is intended primarily as a coffee table, its narrow width makes it equally at home as a side table.
Connecting top and legs is a solid wooden H-frame — a detail that is both structural and precise. The frame stabilises the solid wood tabletop, and its angled cuts at the open ends of the H ensure that the detachable legs sit at their characteristic outward slant.
Softly rounded profiles on all four sides give the rectangular table a welcoming presence that pairs naturally with many of Wegner’s wooden chairs — and with the CH008 round coffee table, which belongs to the same series.
Crafted in oak, the CH011 is available in three heights, with three interchangeable leg lengths to suit your space.
