About the RA Table Lamp:

The first sketches of the RA Table Lamp were created in 1931 by Piet Hein at the age of just 25. Particularly impressive are the soft shapes and the forward-looking design – Piet Hein created a lamp that is still considered a classic today and is perfectly suited for use on a desk or in a bedroom.

The Designer Piet Hein:

Piet Hein (1905–1996) – architect, mathematician, poet. He mastered all these fields and enriched Danish cultural life, making it a bit more beautiful and a bit more witty with his distinct style, square head, and quirky language. He had the rare ability to bring poetry, geometry, and design together in a harmonious form where function and art are equally valued.
