Wegner was influenced by criticism from consultant, professor, and medical doctor Egill Snorrason, PhD, who challenged the Danish design and furniture industry for its lack of focus on ergonomics. In his critique, Snorrason highlighted Wegner’s Cow Horn Chair as a rare example of ergonomics done right—an observation that directly informed the design of the Wegner Swivel Chair.
