About the design of Flamingo Chair and the designers:

The Flamingo Chair, with its slender legs and graceful curves, resembles a flamingo standing elegantly. Its aesthetic and poetic design features symbolic ‘wings’ for arms, poised above a steel frame and long, slim legs, with the back appearing to float on top. This culminates in an exquisite expression of fluid lines.

Johannes Foersom, who began his career as a cabinetmaker, and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen, initially a carpenter building ship interiors, formed a Danish design duo nearly 50 years ago. Together, they have crafted organic, functional, and durable designs that add long-lasting value to people and their surroundings. Their work blends a deep knowledge of materials, awareness of market trends, and an eye for innovation, earning them several international prizes and praise for their experimentation with new materials and constructions.
